In extremely sad news, 15yr old Stefany Parnell was killed this morning in a very bad car accident driven by her 18yr old boyfriend Alex Hablas, of Stafford, Virgina, who is now facing criminal charges due to reckless driving, involuntary manslaughter, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
According to Inside Nova,
Two young people were killed and four were injured after a car ran off Garrisonville Road in North Stafford early Saturday morning, when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The car struck a tree, spun around and then struck another tree,– instantly killing 2 passengers, 15yr old Stefany Parnell and 23yr old Vincent Anthony Ayala.
Parnell was in the front passenger seat, and Anguiano–Ayala was on the right side of the back seat when the accident took place, neither victim was wearing a seatbelt, according to reports.
Also injured in the wreck and taken to Mary Washington for treatment were a 15-year-old Stafford boy whose name was not released because he is a juvenile, 18-year-old Tony Dotson of Stafford and 18-year-old Alicia Marie Robillard of Spotsylvania, who Tyler said was riding on Dotson’s lap in the back center seat at the time of the crash.
Garrisonville was shut down for six hours after the wreck for clean up and investigation. Police believe that speed played a role in the wreck, but that alcohol did not.
So far there is no information on the severity of the injuries suffered by the four people taken to the hospital. A hospital official said Tony Dotson was treated and released Saturday.
This is such sad news, this little girl was a close friend to a family member of mine and we send our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family of both victims involved in the accident.
