Executively Produced by Queen Latifah, the classic 1989 film “Steel Magnolias” is being revamped and revised, with an all new cast and it’s coming to a television near you!!
I’m sure all my old school readers remember the funny comedy, that was based on a bond among a group of women from Louisiana, that starred Julia Roberts, Sally Field, Shirley MacLaine, Dolly Parton and a few others. Well, this time not only do they have an all new star- studded cast, “Steel Magnolias” is now being remade with an all new African-American cast. You could expect to see Queen Latifah, Phylicia Rashad, Alfre Woodard, Adepero Oduye, Jill Scott and Phylicia Rashad’s daughter, Condola Rashad all come together to cast the 1989 film in a new light.
