I’m telling you now, if you miss this ‘Next Chapter’ interview between Oprah and Rihanna, too bad for you!! Because I can assure you this is going to be one of Oprah’s best interviews yet,..–well for me anyway, considering the fact that I’m a fan!! But the issues that are addressed in this interview makes it very hard to not understand what Rihanna was dealing with during that time in her life. When Oprah asks RiRi about the night she was assaulted by Chris Brown, tears instantly began to flow as she stated:
“It was a weird, confusing space to be in, Because as angry as I was, as angry and hurt and betrayed, I just felt like he made that mistake because he needed help and who’s going to help him? Nobody’s going to say he needs help. Everybody’s going to say he’s a monster without looking at the source, and I was more concerned about him.”

“I lost my best friend. Everything I knew switched … switched in a night and I couldn’t control that, So I had to deal with that, and that’s not easy for me to understand or interpret. It’s not easy to interpret on camera. Not with the world watching.” says Rihanna.
