Jay Z and Beyonce Lose The Right to Trademark Blue Ivy Name…

Welp! Looks like the Carter’s lost that battle.

Back in February, Beyonce and Jay Z had petitioned to trademark the name of their first born daughter, Blue Ivy..–with the hopes of branding her name into a clothing line in the near future. Buttt,…

Veronica Alexandra, who started Blue Ivy back in 2009, ended up filing her own petition to trademark the name as well, and the Patent Office ruled in her favor! Meaning, she can use “Blue Ivy” for event and wedding planning and related marketing and advertising freely!! Veronica stated ..

“I knew this was going to be a bittersweet roller coaster,” Alexandra, 32, tells Rolling Stone. “If this wasn’t going to work, I’d go after both of them. Like, ‘Let’s do it!’ In my mind I had some protective rights. There’s no way by way of being a celebrity they should have entitlement [to the name]. Shame on them.”

I wouldn’t be surprised if they buy her out though…because trust me, if the price is right she will surely relinquish all rights to that name!! Money Talks & the Carter’s paper got a wholeee lot to say!!
