Director Spike Lee is currently in the process of making a documentary that will highlight the music life of the late Micheal Jackson! August will mark the 25th Anniversary of the King of Pop’s “Bad” album, and what better way to celebrate;–then to rehash all of his past hits along with unseen footage and music of the Pop Icon!!
Spike Lee said the documentary will also show a personal side of the King of Pop. “He had a great sense of humor, and he was funny — so you’ll see a lot of that stuff,” he said.
“We have footage in this documentary that no one’s ever seen, stuff that Michael shot himself, behind-the-scenes stuff,” Lee said. “We had complete access to the vaults of Michael Jackson.”
Spike called it a “treasure chest of findings,”. “He wrote 60 demos for the Bad record. Only 11 made it. So we got to hear a lot of that stuff, too, so it was just a great experience.”
Although no date has been set yet for the release of the documentary, the re-release of the ‘Bad’ album is scheduled to hit stores on Sept 18th!!
